He Is Risen - Easter Sunday Devotional
“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
—Matthew 28:6
The stone was rolled away—not so Jesus could get out, but so we could see in. Easter Sunday is the exclamation mark of the gospel. Jesus didn’t just rise—He reigns.
The resurrection is not a myth or metaphor—it’s the miracle that changes everything. Death lost its sting. Sin lost its power. Fear lost its grip. In the empty tomb, we find full hope.
And this hope isn’t only for eternity—it’s for today. Because He lives, we can face our failures, walk through suffering, and run with purpose. Easter is a declaration that nothing is impossible with God—not healing, not reconciliation, not restoration, not new life.
Prayer:
Risen Lord, I celebrate You today with awe and joy. You’ve conquered death, silenced shame, and crushed darkness with light. Help me live like the tomb is really empty—full of bold faith, unshakable hope, and contagious joy. Let the truth of Your resurrection reshape how I see every challenge, every day. You are alive, and because of that, I am too. Amen.

I hope yinz had an amazing Easter, filled with family and friends. If not I hope you had the memories of past times with them. Remember that time you thought you’d never make it out, but you called upon Jesus and you seen the power and the hope he gave you. Pray for the ones that are scared, pray for the ones that hate you, pray for the ones that love you, spread the word of Jesus on the days you don’t feel like it or you don’t feel love from anyone. Be a human with a heart of compassion for eachother. We need you here and never forget that he died and rose from the dead. Put your trust into him and go day by day. Amen::
