Stand Firm in Love - 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
The world is full of voices — some loud, some subtle — all pulling us in different directions. It can be hard to know what’s right, when to speak up, and when to stay silent. Paul’s words to the church in Corinth are just as relevant today: be watchful, stand firm, be strong, and let it all be done in love.
Standing firm in your faith doesn’t mean being argumentative or harsh. It means being rooted so deeply in God’s truth that you’re not easily shaken. It means having the courage to hold to conviction even when it’s unpopular, while also having the humility to wrap that conviction in love.
Strength without love becomes pride. Love without strength becomes compromise. But together, strength and love reflect Christ Himself — bold in truth, gentle in heart, unshakable in conviction, and overflowing in grace.
This week, let’s not get swept away by every opinion, debate, or passing storm. Instead, let’s fix our feet on the foundation of Christ and move forward with both courage and compassion.
Prayer: Lord, make me watchful and steadfast in Your truth. Give me strength to stand firm and courage to speak when I need to. But above all, let everything I do reflect Your love. Help me balance conviction with grace, so my life points others to You. Amen.

Amen, and amen. Very relevant devotional today; and they prayer today spoke the most to us. My wife and I have family members who don’t understand what’s happening and they speak without knowledge or understanding, and conviction without grace could lead us to quite unproductive conversations. Thank you for this devotional today; such a great reminder. And thank You Lord for Your mercy, grace and strength, and for allowing us to call on You and trust You will answer when we seek to speak the truth in love. Amen.

I pray for Charlie Kirk’s family and ministry. Please help them Jesus. And please have Romans 8:28 spread all over the world. Let wonderful things come out of Charlie’s death to us who love God especially Charlie’s family. I believe that Revelation 6:9-11 speaks of Charlie Kirk. I believe Charlie is there with those souls. Also, please pray for Jesus to send a good Christian man to my daughter A.R.
