Stay Where You’ll Grow: Jeremiah 17:7-8

Some of the most important things in your life won’t happen fast — and they shouldn’t. Strength isn’t built in bursts; it’s built in patterns.
Jeremiah isn’t talking about hype or momentum. He’s talking about consistency — being planted. Staying where you know you’ll be nourished. Building the kind of life that holds steady when pressure hits, not because you’re bulletproof, but because you’ve put your trust where it actually holds.
If you’re constantly pulling up your roots — chasing whatever feels more exciting, more rewarding, or more comfortable — you’ll stay in survival mode. But the ones who grow? They’re not the loudest. They’re the ones who stayed.
Stay in your discipline.
Stay in your prayer life.
Stay where the Word is feeding you.
Stay in the gym.
Stay in your purpose, even when results are quiet.
You don’t need signs and signals every day to know you’re growing. You just need to keep showing up. That’s what being “planted” looks like.
Prayer: God, I don’t want a shallow life that depends on hype or circumstances. Help me commit to the daily things that feed my faith. Remind me that consistency is strength. Keep me rooted in what actually matters. Amen.

My daughter & I were having a celebratory lunch today. Our whole lunch conversation ended up being pretty much exactly what is in this verse for today that I just saw. Thank you. Our celebration was due to her picking out her beautiful wedding dress.🙏
