Don’t Quit Before the Harvest: Galatians 6:9

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

- Galatians 6:9

There’s a part of the Christian walk that doesn’t get talked about enough. The long stretch where you’re doing the right things, showing up, staying disciplined, but not seeing results yet. This verse speaks directly into that space. It acknowledges something real, that even doing good can become exhausting. Even living with purpose can feel repetitive. Even obedience can feel slow.

But the promise here is not instant. It’s conditional on endurance. “In due season” means there is a timeline, just not yours. The harvest comes, but only if you stay planted long enough. Most people don’t fail because they chose the wrong path, they fail because they quit too early. Spiritually, physically, mentally, the same principle applies. Consistency compounds, but only over time.

This hits differently when you apply it to how you train, how you work, how you lead your life. You’re not always going to feel motivated. You’re not always going to see progress week to week. There will be days where it feels like nothing is changing. But that does not mean nothing is happening. Growth is often invisible before it becomes undeniable.

God is not asking for perfection, He’s asking for persistence. To keep showing up when it’s quiet. To keep doing what’s right when it’s unnoticed. To keep building when there’s no applause. Because the season you’re in right now is not wasted, it’s preparation.

If you don’t quit, it will produce something.

Thank you for this message. Being persistent as a Christian Believer of Christ is challenging at times. It’s not easy, it can be exhausting too. Mentally, physically and spiritually and emotionally exhausting. But when Jesus died on the cross and was crucified for all of us! Endured all our pain and suffering. I’m pretty sure we can get through anything in our life. GOD HAS OUR BACKS ALWAYS AND FOREVER in Jesus name amen 🙏

It’s been a 25 year struggle & battle to overcome the difficulties, physical pain, emotional distress, financial lack & now the passing of my mother🙏🏽 I’ve been spiritually faithful through out this long journey, but sometimes it feels overwhelming, now I’ve been asked to leave my home by my stepfather, forcing more stress, having to go back to work at 66 years old & find an affordable place to live in NC‼️🥹 I will leave this battle in God’s hands & pray 🙏🏽 for the best+🙏🏽💜😇💙

That last paragraph means a lot… the line about “God doesn’t require perfection, He wants persistence…” I love to follow Jesus and I hate when I misstep into sin. But Gods mercies are new every morning, and everyday I pick up my cross and keep following and trusting in Jesus!
